through exploring the boundaries between the real and the imaginary, bartosik investigates one’s ability and willingness to imagine, pretend, dream and suspend disbelief. she is interested in our repressed fears and the sense of wonder engendered through curiosity and dream.

it is her challenge to invite the viewer to dream through her deliberate narration and obsession with drawing in painting and installation.
