this series of work begins with the construction of a background structure that enables it to progress within the "foreground," that is, what is tangible.

false dichotomies (material v. image, object v. idea, language v. substance, picture v. space) are conflated in 'grammatical' arrangements.  paradox is utilized as a primary strategy to provoke the perceiving mind into a renewed state of consciousness.
