galleryELL, a brooklyn-based transient, artist-run gallery is currently accepting applications from interns with knowledge of contemporary art for our upcoming exhibit/artist-in-residence program transient landscape: visualizing governors island to take place on governors island in new york city this summer. the internship begins on 18 july 2011 and will run during weekends through 25 september 2011.

internship description:
– flexible schedule, friday through sunday, hours 12-4p (additional hours during initial installation period may be needed)
– assist with ongoing installation of artwork
– give tours and/or information to patrons about the exhibition and the galleryELL mission
– assist with sales of artwork
– help with general maintenance

internship perks:
– have access to studio space on governors island for up to 4 weeks
