the thompson gallery at the cambridge school of weston is pleased to present collage at 100, a three-part exhibition series that celebrates the centennial of the appearance of collage in painting.  strange glue, traditional & avant-garde collage, the first show in the series, assembles the work of more than 100 contemporary artists as it traces the transition from traditional to avant-garde approaches to papier collé.

Two Hemispheres

the gabarron foundation, in honor of its 10th anniversary, is pleased to present two hemispheres, an exhibition of contemporary american and spanish artists. the purpose of this special exhibition is for american artists from new york to build a cultural dialogue with their fellow spanish artists, recognizing the strong link among the united states, latin america, and spain. the artwork will be on view until early november and will then be sent to the foundation’s other galleries in spain for additional exhibitions, where they will become part of the gabarron foundation contemporary art collection.

the 200 @ The Lexington Art League

the 200 is an exhibition of 200 works of art offered in support of the lexington art league’s loudoun house gallery.  the exhibit culminates in an art auction in the style of a reverse raffle. everyone who holds an auction ticket will win and will leave with a piece of art from the exhibition.
